


Still Dry Cider - Root - 2018
A full bodied, savoury dry fine cider. Made to accompany food in the same way as a big, full bodied, earthy red wine, with silky smooth tannins, hints of leather, tobacco, spice and oak.
High tannin, bittersweet cider apples from across our Exe valley orchards were wild fermented in stainless steel, with 30% then aged in French oak before a further 2 year maturation in bottle. Bottles finished with a dip in pure beeswax from our bee hives, dyed red with beetroot.
Best served decanted at room temperature. Once opened keeps well for up to 3 weeks so there’s no hurry to finish the bottle. Just like a bigger-bodied red, drink this with your favourite rich cheese, cut of steak or something bold, such as wild game.

All of our English Fine Ciders are made with just apples handpicked from the traditional Devon orchards we manage for both fruit and biodiversity in the Exe Valley. Here diverse wild flowers and grasses flourish below the trees, grazed by our flock of Shropshire sheep or an orchard owner’s calves.
