Pet Nat Cider - Browns & Kingston Black - 2024

from £17.50

A Sparkling, Pét-nat (pétillant naturel), Medium Fine Cider. A naturally cloudy, juicy, tangy, blood orange explosion on your palate, with stone fruit on the nose. Joy in a glass with a smooth, rich, velvety mouthfeel. For drinking from now to March 2026.

Apples handpicked from Woodrow Barton overlooking the river Exe in Brampford Speke. All Kingston Blacks from 3 trees, the Browns from one single, ancient tree, plus a few apples of a heritage variety we like to call ‘Rhubard & Custard’ from a similarly ancient tree. Bottling just before fermentation has finished and hand-disgorging allows a light sparkle to develop and ensures a retained natural sweetness.

Made to glug on its own, but would pair well with spicy foods or light summery salads. Store cool (below 10°C).

Style Pét-nat, Sparkling, Medium
Vintage 2024
Varieties Browns, Kingston Black, ‘Rhubarb & Custard’
ABV 4%
SO₂ None added
Production Wild yeast fermentation, unfiltered, unfined, vegan, no additives

All of our English Fine Ciders are made with just apples handpicked from the traditional Devon orchards we manage for both fruit and biodiversity in the Exe Valley. Here diverse wild flowers and grasses flourish below the trees, grazed by our flock of Shropshire sheep or an orchard owner’s calves.
