Winter Fine Cider Selection
These are the three bottles we keep returning to hroughout the winter season…
Root - A full bodied, savoury, dry fine cider with hints of leather, tobacco, spice and oak. Serve at room temperature alongside fatty foods and bold flavours (and a roaring fire)
Huxham - Keeved Cider - 2024 - naturally sparkling, keeved, medium fine cider. On the palate there’s honey, stewed apple pudding and light tongue puckering tannins. This versatile cider pairs well with salty and smokey foods, like fish pie and blue cheese.
Appellation - Traditional Method Cider (Extra Brut) - 2021 - Sparkling, Dry, Traditional Method Fine Cider. Three years ageing on Champagne yeast lees create Champagne-like texture and complexity. As well as making a lovely aperitif, the fresh lemony acidity, salinity and lively yet delicate effervescence perfectly compliment the rich, crispy skin of roast poultry.
